New Zealand made a remarkable start to rugby. They lost 57-22 to Australia at Eden Park for the Bledisloe Cup.

It was the All Blacks’ 19th consecutive Bledisloe Cup win, with the match double up for the second time in a series of three tests against Australia.

New Zealand ran in eight times to record their highest score against the Wallabies on their home soil.

The All Blacks have not lost against Australia at Eden Park since 1986.

Wallabies were 6 points behind in the first half. But a surging second-half score gave New Zealand bonus points in a quick and exciting encounter.

The victory was the All Blacks’ second win against Australia in weeks after they defeat the Wallabies 33-25 in the opening Bledisloe Cup on August 7.

New Zealand won the 2020 Tri-Nations against Australia and Argentina. With South Africa absent due to lack of playing time during the pandemic.

The Springboks – live from the series that beat the British and Irish Lions – will return to the Rugby Championship when they play Argentina on Saturday.
